Jacob Lambros is a local, professional guitarist teaching lessons at Guitar Czar, a well-known, local instrument shop. Jacob has been teaching music since November 2010 and finished a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Composition from the University of Utah in 2015. In 2016, Jacob founded Paradigm Music, as an independent guitar lesson school, and has been happily teaching and gigging locally ever since. With classes conveniently located in Murray, Utah, guitar students can learn from one of the best guitar teachers here in the heart of the Salt Lake City valley.
Guitar Lessons
Where & When
Guitar lessons with Jacob are available weekly Monday through Friday, 3pm to 8pm This time frame is flexible as students need and schedules allow.
Lessons are held inside Guitar Czar in Murray, Utah.
On-site lessons at student residences or other locations are not available at this time.
Remote lessons are available through Skype or Zoom, inquire for details.
Teaching Philosophy
Jacob believes that every student should have a great understanding of the fundamentals of guitar and music. This fundamental knowledge can be gained through learning songs and styles that interest the student, including rock, pop, blues, jazz, metal, funk, country, fingerstyle…polka-techno-prog, the sky’s the limit! Students should strive to learn songs to the best of their ability, this means learning songs in their entirety, getting the song memorized, and understanding the musical aspects of the song. At the same time, we should make sure that the student is having fun and enjoying themselves because that’s what music is truly about.
Jacob would love to add you to his lesson schedule! The first lesson will be a free trial lesson where we can talk and get to know each other and talk about what you’re looking for in lessons. If you feel it’s a good fit, we can continue with regular lessons consistently.

Guitar students can choose from 4 schedules
Weekly half-hour lesson.

Weekly hour-long lesson.
- Students who double their lessons benefit greatly!
- 4 lessons total per month.
- Cost $272 per month (each lesson is $68).
Bi-monthly half-hour lesson.
- Reduced cost with fewer lessons, great for students wanting to get started without a huge time commitment.
- 2 lessons total per month.
- Cost $68 per month (each lesson is $34).
Bi-monthly hour-long lesson.
- Great for people with long commutes or want hour-long lessons that cost less.
- 2 lessons total per month.
- Cost $136 per month (each lesson is $68).
Payments are collected on a monthly basis, with 3 payment type options:
- Automatic recurring payments. Decide which day of the month to have funds drawn; works like a subscription service.
- Invoices through my scheduling app. Invoices are sent via email, you can pay at your convenience before the end of each month. Late fees apply, $20 each time.
- Cash/Check. Self-explanatory, pay Jacob in person each month in person.
Recitals
Every May and December, Paradigm Music hosts recitals at a local, public library. Any student is welcome to perform. It’s recommended for performing students to have been playing guitar for at least 6 months before their first recital. Students play a cappella as well as along to tracks, selecting to sing while they’re playing or not. More advanced students even jam with Jacob during their performance. They’re a lot of fun. All students and their families are welcome to attend, even if they chose not to perform.
